Homeowner Window Advanced I Class
This class is the first of two focused on homeowners who want to give restoring the windows in their home a try.
This class will focus:
Paint removal including different techniques and lead paint considerations
Removing putty glazing
Removing glass
Reglazing a pane of glass
Participants are required to bring a P100 mask and closed toe shoes. We highly recommend taking the Window Basics class prior to the advanced classes as we assume you will know how to remove a sash and replace the ropes.
Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind if it gets dirty, a P100 respirator and cut resistant gloves. This is a hands on class and you may come in contact with lead paint and glass. We recommend bringing clothes to change into after class. All attendees must be 18 or older and are required to sign a liability waiver to participate. Plan to be on your feet for this class.
Classes are held in our shop at 911 Joliet Street starting at 9:30am sharp to 1:30pm.
We schedule our Advance Classes based on interest. Join the waiting list to be notified of a future Saturday morning class. Attendees who arrive without a P100 mask will be unable to participate and no refunds provided.
